This is a two to ten-week stay in Ireland. You will live here in the tiny coastal village of Bundoran, and you will be with other USA, Euro & Irish people.
The location of your stay is spectacular. Bundoran is a famous surf town, and there are three main surf breaks right in the town – the scenery is amazingly beautiful, and the county of Donegal is steeped in Irish culture & history. Close by, you have the counties of Sligo, Leitrim & Galway, and this is the part of Ireland that is famous for its warm welcome and truly remarkable culture.
Four days a week, you come into the centre and enjoy a variety of experiences- you will do some classes on Irish history, literature, language & culture.
You will do a trip once a week to visit areas of cultural & historical interest. You will have a music class, where you learn about Irish music, song, instrumentation etc. Various experts in Irish culture will take classes with you, and you are invited to actively participate and contribute. One day a week, you will sample various activities- a beginner surf, a canoe trip, some climbing, hillwalking, - this is a dramatically beautiful landscape, and needs to be explored!
You will sample Irish theatre, trad music sessions, Gaelic sports, plus trips to Derry, Galway, Belfast, the islands- four days a week, we culturally drown you; the other three days you have to explore yourself.
