Experience Ireland program starts with a two-week introduction to Ireland; including workshops on the general history and culture of Ireland, visits to local towns and scenic /historical places of interest.

Your location is Bundoran, Co. Donegal. You will spend this two weeks with all of the other participants on our Ireland courses. You will also try some FUN outdoor activities such as surfing, climbing & canoeing. Very gentle and suitable for non-sporty people! But worth doing at least once.





Part 2
A four-week stay in the the town of anagaire in the Rosses, Co. Donegal. Coláiste na Rosann (The Rosses College, in Donegal is a magnificent centre for Irish culture in the heart of Ireland.
An Irish-speaking area, this area is renowned for its culture, history and music being home to enya and Clannad among others as well as being surrounded by some of Irelands spectacular scenary including Mount Errigal, Carrickfinn strand and the poisoned Glen
and Glenveagh national park


You will take a number of Irish cultural courses including Gaelic language in the morning.
Afternoon choice of archaeology; monastic & pilgrimage,
local projects with emphasis on their own specific interests -
politics, environment, music, storytelling, handcrafts, literature etc

Evenings from 8-9.30 can consist of learning songs, bodhrán (traditional Irish drum ) learning, tin whistle, celli dancing & set dancing. 
Day trip to Derry, Giants causeway, Slieve League, Archaeological monuments (afternoons or Saturdays)

After your four-week stay in Anagaire, you will return to base in Bundoran, to do a final two of internship at Donegal Adventure Centre.
Internships will be arranged according to preferences and local availability.
Your internship is based Monday-Thursday.
Weekends are free for travel, cultural trips, part-time work, fun and relaxation! Ireland has so much to offer and is also a great and cheap hub for travel to UK and Europe.

Who is this programme for?

Anyone interested in learning about Irish language, dance and music. If you are not sporty, but interested in the Irish culture, this trip is for you. This is a more academic choice, specialising in excellent tuition in Gaelic language, musicianship, art and crafts.
