Niamh Hamill:Manager
Niamh,(Neeve) a qualified primary and secondary teacher decided to combine her vocation with her love of surfing and took over the Donegal Adventure Centre in 2001. Already director of the Adventure Ireland programme which specialises in bring U.S. teens to Ireland, Niamh felt that Bundoran, an outdoor sports mecca, was the ideal place to set up full time. Her decision was vindicated when she won the Failte Ireland welcome award for the program in 2002. Also a keen musician, Niamh can be found on stage with her musical partner Aine |

Collie MacPhaidin:
Niamh's brother Collie, also worked as a teacher in Dublin before joining the gang in the Donegal. Renowned for his sense of humour, dodgy shirts and his friendly yet firm style, Collie liaises with Teachers, Pupils and staff to guarantee the students have the right combination of fun, activities, safety and supervision, to make their trip to Ireland a fantastic experience that they will cherish for many years. Collie followed in Niamh's footsteps by winning the Failte Ireland county & regional welcome awards for the Adventure Ireland program in 2006 |

Nicky Dowling
Nicky is our English language teacher. Fluent in German and French and English (obviously!) Nicky is from Dublin and was a colleague of Niamhs in Asfield college before setting up her own company
Language-Adventure which she runs in conjunction with Adventure Ireland. Friendly and professional, Nicky has been working with Adventure Ireland for since 1999 |

Paul Darby
Darby as he is known to everyone (I think his mum still calls him Paul) is a native of Drogheda. Also a multi-qualified instructor, and one of our resident climbing experts, Darby's gentle manner, good sense of humour and expertise in all his sports makes him a hit with adults and students alike |
|
Richard "Dickie" Gillespie
Dickie as you can judge from the photo, is the hyper bunny of the centre. Always up for it, Dickie always puts the group in great form. A top bodyboarder born and bred in Bundoran, Ritchie's ebullient style makes any trip to DAC a great one. |
|
Kyle Willshire
Officially the worlds most smiley man, Kyle learned to master the waves in South Africa.
A fantastic skater & surfer with an encyclopedic knowledge of surfing techniques,
Kyle will improve your surfing whether you are a complete beginner or already an accomplished surfer.
That is, if he isn't washing his hair, his second favourite thing to do |
Trish Corr
Trish is the glue that holds the centre together. She (along with Ciara), takes the bookings, makes sure the arrangements are correct and makes sure we get paid (our favourite bit). From Bundoran, Trish will make sure your trip and all the arrangements are perfect from the moment you first enquire to when you depart.
We have to get her some new cds mind you.
Shakira.... I rest my case. |

|
Ciara O Shea
Ciara Ann to her mother, Sheaser to the rest of us, Ciara works with Trish to make sure your trip goes smoothly. Ciara came to us from Dublin via New Jersey where she also worked for our Adventure Ireland international camps. |
Neil Ellis
Neil is our newest member of staff. Hailing from Limavady, Co Derry, Neil is a multi-qualified experienced instructor specialising in kayaking...he also loves windsurfing as well but we are going to persuade him that the other type of surfing is the real sport |

Ken Keane
Do not give this man sugar. One half of the other brother & sister team here in the DAC, Ken decided he'd enough of Truck driving and decided he wanted a job that meant he'd get to go surfing everyday. Funny, warm and always professional, we snapped Ken straight up to work here once he finished our Training course. |
|
Rachel Keane
Rachel is Ken's sister but very much her own person. Rachel who is also a keen (geddit?) surfer comes from Sligo, near Lissadell and like the other famous lady from Lissadell Countess Markievicz, is known for not letting the boys push her around, and getting her own way. Rachel's quiet and reassuring manner will make you feel right at home here at the DAC |
|
Diarmuid
Somethings in life are inevitable. Death, taxes and Diarmuid working at Donegal Adventure Centre. Bundoran born and bred, Diarmuid was hooked from the first day he visited the centre, and has graduated from doing work experience, painting fences and making tea to passing our plc course with flying colours and becoming an excellent instructor. We still make him make the tea though.Always personable and very popular with groups, Diarmuid will be running the whole place before long. If his mum lets him. |
|
Tara MacDonald
Tara comes from the
Isle of Skye,Scotland, Tara took to our plc course like a scot to a deep fried mars bar (ask to explain when you get here). A top class instructor and leader, Tara's engaging mix of wit and charm will have you feeling right at home here in the DAC |
