Surf camp

The August camp has less emphasis on cultural studies and more time spent on outdoor activities especially surfing in Ireland. It will appeal to students who are really interested in the unique experience of surfing, climbing, kayaking & being very active while enjoying the friendly culture in Ireland. The August camp is fully based in our Donegal Campus.

What is it?
Adventure ireland  surf camp is a fully supervised residential surf & adventure camp. Based in Bundoran, Ireland's surf capital, Donegal Adventure Centre have been providing activity holidays for teenagers from all over the world for over a decade. Programmes run at mid-term breaks, Easter and all through the summer. During the summer, campers can stay from one week to 4 weeks on surf camp.

What do we do ?
The Adventure Ireland Teen Surf Camp is indeed a surf camp for teenagers but we don't think that does it justice. However we thought that "The DAC make new friends from all over the world / Surfing / Climbing / Abseiling / Kayaking / Cliff jumping / Day Trips / Night Line / Archery / Talent Show / Zip Line / Canoeing & Much Much More Camp for Teens " was a bit of a mouthful :)

Whats the schedule?
Surf Campers will surf at least once a day*. On the rare occasions that there is no surf an alternative activity will be provided. The surfcampers will also take part in a fun training programme to improve your surfing including swim coaching, fitness training and lifeguarding. The evenings are spent doing some of our other activities such as abseiling, archery, talents shows & quizzes and trips to the cinema, fun fair etc.
* Longer programmes include a couple of day trips as rest days.

Who is this for?
Adventure ireland SurfCamp is for Teens who are interested in outdoor sports, trying new things and meeting lots of new friends. You don't have to be able to surf or even be a strong
swimmer. All the lessons are done at the campers level- if you are an absolute beginner we will teach you how to surf, climb and all the other fun things we do. If you already surf, we will hone your skils and coach you to be becoming a much better surfer- you can even bring your own board if you want. You don't need to be super fit, just to be interested in trying all these new things.

Whats included?
The fees for the surf camp incude all accommodation, food, equipment, excursions and full 24 hour supervision. Campers only need to bring money to use at our tuck shop, buy phone credit and sundries. Wetsuits & boards are included but we strongly advise campers to bring their own surf gloves, boots and rash vests.
